Hindus demand Excise dept to withdraw liquor license issued to Sunburn

Representation submitted to District Superintendent (DS) of Excise Dept. for withdrawal of licence issued to Sunburn festival for use of liquor  The Government should have imposed ban on consumption of liquor; instead people have to ask for such ban which is shameful for the Government ! This condition can be changed only with establishment of Hindu Rashtra !

Pune : Sunburn festival is going on presently in Kesanand village and the State Excise Department has granted permission for consumption of liquor during the festival. Many religious places are near Kesanand and the local residents have imposed ban on consumption of liquor from the year 2007 by passing a resolution in Gram-sabha. Even then, the Department granted permission for liquor. It will affect sanctity of this village. The licence issued for consumption of liquor during this program should be immediately cancelled, was the demand made by Shri. Chandrakant Warghade, the President of ‘Mahiti Seva Sangh’ through representation submitted on 29th December to DS Mohan Varde in the presence of Shri. Abhay Vartak, the spokesperson of Sanatan Sanstha. Shri. Varde said that the licence was issued as permissible under law.
