The police apart from the security arrangemenmts will now play the role of a doctor for the pilgrims going for the CHAR-DHAM yatra.

Police Administration and Health Department organized a camp for all personnel deployed on travel routes to aid travelers with first aid in case of any accident. During the season when an accident happens many times the lives of the pilgrims goes into danger as timely treatment is not available. But now Police and Home Guard personnel stationed at the checkpoints will be able to give the primary treatment in order to give first aid to the patient till he/she is brought to a hospital.
