is also known as "Singhara Teej". One day before Hariyali Teej, women celebrate 'Singhara'. It
is a significant day for newly wedded brides. On her first ‘Singhara’ after marriage, the newly
wedded brides receive clothes and ornaments from their mother-in-laws. On Hariyali Teej,
women gather to worship moon. Women both married and unmarried enjoy the festive spirit by
swinging on adorned swings singing songs relating to the month of Sawan.
