I have seen an advertisement before 2 or 3 days on television which admired me a lot. It was a nice advertisement with powerful message in purpose of changing the society’s scenario towards the youth. It was about a modern girl who may be of 24 or 25 round about. She entered in a temple wearing blue jeans, top and scarf, carrying a bag and book in hand and came in front of idol for praying. A lady of around 40, who was standing beside her, stared her very badly because of her modern dressing sense. Because it makes her hard to believe that how can youth move towards spirituality like this? Generally we have set a notion or can say a scenario that style and spirituality are like two different poles which cannot meet at any point. We consider that “Style” means equip ourselves with modern lifestyle which evolves constantly around technology, gadget, vehicles, modern dresses, and hairstyle whereas being spiritual means we have to keep ourselves away from all these type of luxuries.
How ridiculous is it? It depicts that we are just paying attention on the decoration of the matter not on stuff. If someone loves to carry modern dressing style, different type of hair style or to equip many gadgets in the pocket then how can it proves that they do not have faith in God or do not believe in tradition, rituals and other customs. To be spiritual does not mean to keep distance from evolution, development, party, dance, modern dresses, gadgets, practical thoughts or pop songs. But if we are doing this, it doesn’t mean that spirituality teaches us to live as a fool.
The real meaning of spirituality is
Be simple by thoughts – Spirituality teaches us to be simple by thoughts. It is not essential to wear simple dresses/clothes if you believe in spirituality. Your simple and kind heart is enough to keep you in touch of with God. They will admire you because of your true heart not by your dressing sense.
Equip yourself with modern trend – We all know very well that we are living in modern era where every day starts with a new invention. If we keep ourselves away from latest trend with the pretend of spirituality, it means we are fool. A spiritual person might be worshiped in certain areas but a knowledgeable person is worshiped everywhere.
Spirituality: a unique style -
If spirituality reveals the darkness of our intuition then science reveals the darkness of materialistic world. A wise person takes two type of bath- first for self-realization and second for worldly-wisdom. To learn all the advantages of contemporary world is essential and being spiritual is more essential.
So, be stylish with the modernization but with spirituality as well. It summed up your uniqueness.
