Goddess Lakshmi is known as a deity of wealth and prosperity. And everybody wishes that the blessings of goddess Lakshmi always remains with them. For this, we worship, offer prayers to her, do fasts to impress the Goddess of money. But in that, we miss some important practices which might be impactful to impress her. Worshiping a God in deed is not at all meant that you are not a true devotee; it is a human nature that we recall Goddess in adverse situations. When we worship, we focus our attention and offer prayers with divine soul. As we practice to achieve greater intensities of focus and degrees of absorption, we could feel a change in our behavior, we think positively.

To make Goddess happy we do every possible practice, but still there are many things which we should keep in mind while praying. As, these small things can bring Goddess Lakshmi at your home with lots of prosperity. According to Vastu, there are some important practices which make Goddess Lakshmi happy and she blesses her devotee with lots of money. As per Vastu, the place in your house, where you worship is the most important portion of your house as the entry of all happiness and richness comes from this section of your house. Therefore, every house should have a praying room in the North-East direction. While yellow colored bulb should be used in the praying room. Decorate the praying room by sprinkling fresh flowers. Place a metal or earthen pitcher on the cloth. Place five leaves in the pitcher including a betel nut, a rose flower, a coin and some grains, this makes Goddess happy.

According to Vastu, during evenings a diya should be lit in front of your God, as we know during evenings Goddess of  Wealth, Maa Lakshmi enters the house and if during this time, your praying room is not lit well, Goddess changes he direction, and this can brings all the negative energy in your house. Therefore, to avoid such negative vibrations always lit lamps(Diyas) in your praying room during evenings. And always keeps your house clean as the Goddess appreciates cleanliness and visits the cleanest homes first. Goddess Lakshmi’s arrival brings great fortune and triumph over evil. It a Goddess Lakshmi’s promise that “Whoever pursues their goals with peace, will find the wealth.”

It is also said that the statues and images made by mercury are considered to be very lucky and special. By keeping mercury Lakshmi Mata idol in the house, then she would bless you with wealth. As I told you, direction plays an important role in making your prayers effective. For this, place a saucer with a few rice grains on the pitcher. Sprinkle turmeric in the shape of lotus over the rice and then place Goddess Idol above the rice with few coins. This would definitely attract the Goddess. Never forget to perform Ganesha Puja to seek blessings for overall success. Place an idol of Ganesha to the southwest of Lakshmi on the cloth. And lay books that relate to your occupation. As without the hard work it is impossible to earn money. Only worshiping the Goddess doesn’t make you rich. It is a combine effort of hard work and blessings from the Goddess of wealth.
